Note: Due to differences in the up-pipes, these will not work if your truck has factory 6.0L exhaust manifolds. 

Please refer to the figure below. 2008-2010 6.4 Powerstroke engine might use two kinds of Up-pipe, if your engine uses "Factory 6.4 Powerstroke" (the pipe on the most left), this product is suitable. If your engine uses "Factory 6.0 Powerstroke" (the pipe on the second left), then this product is not suitable.

Up-pipes and down-pipes – what do they do?

Up-pipe is a pipe that connects exhaust manifold to turbo. Exhaust gases enter the turbo from up-pipe. Downpipe is a pipe that connects the turbo to the rest of the exhaust pipe. Exhaust gases leave the turbo from downpipe.

Q1: What's the average install time for the EGR plate cooler and throttle valve delete kit?

A1: Typically 1-4 hours, installation time based on proficiency.

Q2: By doing the egr delete will my check engine light come on or stay on? If so what else is needed to turn off the engine light?

A2: Installing this kit may trigger error codes related to vehicle deletion adjustments. However, any adjustment that involves deletion of the vehicle can result in throwing a trouble code, and if a cel occurs， you can use a tuner or other device to clear or block the associated error code.

Q3: Will installing this kit void my vehicle's warranty?

A3: Using this product may void your vehicle's warranty. Please confirm with your vehicle manufacturer before purchasing and installing this kit.

Q4: Is the EGR delete kit worth it?

A4: One of the main benefits of an EGR delete is improved performance. The Exhaust Gas Recirculation system is known to cause carbon buildup in the intake manifold and reduce airflow to the engine. Deleting the EGR system reduces carbon buildup and improves airflow to the engine.

Q5: Do you get more HP with EGR delete?

A5: Deleting or disabling your EGR is unlikely to add horsepower because it only provides a slight change to the air contents of your engine's combustion chambers. While EGR deletes do provide a purer air-fuel ratio, the difference is minor, and any horsepower gains will be small -- likely in the range of 0-5 HP.

A6: An upgraded up pipe improves exhaust flow from the manifold to the turbo, helping reduce backpressure, improve turbo spool time, and enhance overall engine performance, especially under higher boost levels.

Q7: Will this up pipe fit both 6.0L and 6.4L Powerstroke engines?

A7: This up pipe fits both 6.0L and 6.4L Powerstroke engines only if your 6.0L engine has been upgraded with 6.4L-style exhaust manifolds. It will not fit factory 6.0L manifolds.

Q8: Why is my 6.4 Powerstroke blowing white smoke?

A8: White smoke is often caused by coolant entering the combustion chamber due to issues like a blown head gasket or a cracked EGR cooler. Failed up pipes can also leak and affect combustion efficiency, increasing smoke output.
