Our EGR Valve & Cooler Delete Kit for 2014-2018 3.0L EcoDiesel Ram 1500
If the delete route fits your use case, the kit below is built specifically for 2014-2018 Ram 1500 with the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine. It comes with block-off plates, coolant reroute hardware, and gaskets needed for a clean install.
2014-2018 3.0 EcoDiesel Ram 1500 EGR Valve & Cooler Delete Kit

- Stage 1 or Stage 2 delete: choose a simple EGR bypass that keeps the stock components in place, or a full delete of the EGR valve, cooler, and intake ducts.
- Lower exhaust temperatures: reduces EGR-driven heat soak on the intake manifold and helps the engine run cooler under load.
This kit is for off-road and competition use only. Custom tuning is required after installation to prevent check engine lights. Questions before you buy? Email service@dpfexhaust.com.
If You Prefer to Keep the Stock EGR Healthy with Regular Maintenance
Not every truck needs an EGR delete kit. For daily drivers, a consistent routine can keep the stock EGR, DPF, and DEF systems working as designed for many miles.
1. Stay Ahead of the Regen Cycle
Short trips and idling can interrupt the regen cycle. Take a 20-30 minute highway drive at steady throttle once a week so the DPF can complete a full burn-off.
2. Use the Right Oil and Change It on Time
Use a low-SAPS 5W-30 meeting MS-11106. Skipping intervals lets soot accumulate, raising EGR fouling and shortening DPF life.
3. Keep the Intake and EGR Passages Clean
Carbon on the EGR valve causes rough idle and reduced fuel economy. Periodic intake-side cleaning catches buildup before it triggers limp mode.
4. Watch Coolant Level and DEF Quality
The EGR cooler can leak coolant into the intake silently. Check the degas bottle at every oil change and use OEM-spec DEF (ISO 22241).
